2015 Silverado audio upgrade

Recommended Posts

Hello,

New to this forum, and sorry if this has been asked.

Looking to upgrade the speakers and add a sub woofer. Is there any direct plug and play speakers to install?

Thank you,

Most speakers are universal with 2 wires. You can order a pigtail that goes from the stock connector to a blank wire end. You can crimp ends on or have it soldered directly to the speaker.

both kicker and alpine make direct fit audio packages

There's a vendor on here that sells the plug n play kicker sub. It seems like a lot of people just go for kicker speakers for the doors. I've been debating whether I want to do that or go with jl audio or arc audio setup.

I've always gone with JL Audio myself, they've never let me down. I've got an 8w3 I'm trying to fit in my truck, just haven't had much time to mess with it, with work and all. Door speakers still sound pretty good for now but will probably get upgraded soon also.

I also went with the plug and play over the custom sound on my '15. Kicker Soundgate plus Kicker 6"x9" Fronts/6.5" Rear/1" Dash

Can anyone on here recommend...looking to get either the kicker vss w/ amp for just under $600 or buying front and rear speakers for my 2015 silverado non-bose. I want to know from peoples experience if just getting the sub will increase the sound of the factory speakers or just getting the speakers first and get a sub later down the road. Not looking for crazy bass just something more better than factory as mine is kinda crap.

I got the Kicker VSS with the amp and it definitely sounds better overall. While there are better options out there I like the fact that the system was plug and play. It has just the right amount of kick just don't expect to rattle the car next to you in traffic. I listen to all kinds of music, such as hip hop, country, rock, classical, jazz, pop you name it.

Ok cool, yeah I'm the same way I'm not trying to rattle any cars or be heard from miles away. Did you buy the kit with part # ending in 118 or 117?
