GMC-AT Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 Ok,,, I have been trying to narrow down what is causing this clicking sound...need some help. Here is what I know.. 1. The clicking sound happens with the rotation of the tires. increases and slows down with speed. 2. Only happens below 15mph. But doesn't always happen. Sometimes it will be quiet for a few min.. then start again. 3. putting the truck in 4x4 doesn't change anything. 4. I put the truck in neutral and coasted a few times... no change...still clicks 5. I applied the breaks (to compress calipers) while keeping speed.. no change. 6. Sound happens when both driving straight or turning. Doesn't matter. 7. Checked lug nuts.. all tight Any ideas? 2016 - Sierra, 6.2, 8 speed, 17K miles
Justin101714 Posted August 10, 2017 Posted August 10, 2017 I'm gonna say that T30 torx bolt that secures the rotor on the hub came out in between the rotor surface and the rim and it's flopping around on the backside of the rim. Take the front wheels off. See if they are still tight and in place. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ans33 Posted May 27, 2020 Posted May 27, 2020 Any update on the problem? My truck is doing the same thing and it only has 2k kms on it...
