Hi Guys,

I'm new to this forum. I need help with tyre pressure sensor. I bought 2015 silverado LT couple month ago. The last owner has change the rims with bigger ones. And they did not install the tyre presure sensor on the new rims.

So, I did some research to buy tyre presure sensors from aliexpress.

And I bought 315mhz preasure sensors. I got it installed. And I also bought EL50448 TPMS reset tool.

I put my car into tyre learning mode. But no luck to register the sensors.

So, did I bought the wrong sensor or am I doing something wrong

Go buy the sensors from the dealer. I'd want it to be right.

Set of 4 Schrader TPMS Sensors for Cadillac Escalade GMC Sierra Chevrolet Colorado 13581558 315MHz

http://s.aliexpress.com/ii2MNJzQ

This is what I bought and part number is

Manufacturer Part Number:

13581558, 209-J00017

And the tool is

2017 Best Quality A EL50448 Auto Tire Presure Monitor Sensor OEC-T5 EL 50448 For GM/Opel TPMS Reset Tool EL-50448 Electronic

http://s.aliexpress.com/QZnMZJJF

I don't think it is because of cheap product. Sensor description says that covers silverado 2015 LT.

I'm wondering is it because of

1. thick rims

2. Wrong part number

3. Sensors are faulty

Did you install these yourself? If you didn't then the tire dealer who installed them should have set them up for you. They deal with tpms' with most newer vehicles and should have done the setup for you, imo.

I got it installed in tyre shop. But I live in dubai and parently tyre shops doesnt even know tpms exist in the world.

I have the orange one.

I will test the tool on one of my friend's car to see if works. Then it means I have the wrong sensor.

Is there any website to chelc the part number.

I tested the tool and it works on my friend's gmc. So, I think the sensors are not compatible with my car.

I will try to get right part number from the dealer.

I believe the new sensors need to be programmed to the vehicle. The tool you bought only allows relearning of tire location on the vehicle once the sensors are programmed to the vehicle. You need a more advanced tool to do the programming.  Someone will advise if I’m incorrect.
