Smithracecraft assassin bars. And they are the new version. New version is just a 1" shorter bar. They are the number one rated bars based on my research on yellowbullet and performancetruck.com. guys all say they beat the Calvert in 60ft times. Super heavy duty.
I can't tell why I have vibration. Angles aren't too bad. Wonder if the drive shaft need shortening? I dont mine a performance shaft but wanted to rule out everything else. The shop that did alignment(twice) said 24" can't be roadforced balanced.
*Don't think the bars would fit your truck Nasty, they set 5.5" down from the front leaf bolt. and more if bars is mounted in lowest hole. *

I fought with vibrations as well. I had the driveshaft shortened and I fixed the pinion angle

Digital angle app on my phone says.
Axles is 1.9up
Driveshaft is 2.4up
Trans is 7.1 down.

We are thinking bad driveshaft. So I will have it looked at. However GM said they will give me a new replacement.
Would like the 2 piece steel but not sure it will clear the custom 3.5" exhaust. 8e7a56b7f5ef5c370632c4edb2f34c39.jpg272af66e177176b94265a7f8fadd3844.jpg

On3 turbo kit is a v2 and is really great quality. V bands found be better but still work 100%. And honestly kits are cheap $2500 and up. You can buy the driver side tube header but it isn't needed no performance increase and as the crossover uses stock locations any header on that side fits.
I think the spikes kit is a little nicer. But they are $5000 and up. And company is hard to deal with. Honestly buy the bmf turbo. It's a 76 but measures 80 and is 2 times the turbo of the other options.

Yes it is stock I have planned to upgrade as I have a set of injectors. As far as pump I can get a Corvette one, shim it or just get a cam. I was planning a new block and just build it up.

Yes they are bad about not sending parts but contact BoB at on3 and he is awesome and sent everything out so not a issue.

So seems like this solved my exhaust back pressure vs noise issue. Inserts on a turbo car/truck is very bad idea.
DENALI gauge cluster should be here this week and is a fast install. Still haven't had time to finish wiring up the amp and alpine x front door speakers.
Also working on a few new tunes. There is only about 6 shops that can really tune the new trucks. And even fewer that will or can really do a 100% job. I have spoken with GM engineers and they have poured over my tune. Saying fuel is fine and all but trans, timming, and dbw setting leave more on the table also that my palse with was to wide and the fuel ve tables would need to be completely redone once the other settings are set up. So big things in the works with that. I have two tuners reviewing and setting the logging.d66a0a933cc6e9669613af5fb053d3c9.jpg60750d190815292d174a8cb52a5a3102.jpgc35462d9cae402020c6498927cb96d50.jpg

Oh and bought that 9.88" 4k rear view camera. It is a front/rear dash cam with every other option. Pics coming.

So update is as follows.
Bad is the rear view camera is a Facebook scam and is shit, not as ad shows. PayPal is refunding.
GOOD finally have my Denali programmed cluster and love it. Expensive yes but it is how the truck should have came.
Plans now are the new turbo and drive out of state to dyno tune.
Again I have the better motor still brand new waiting. It's a Factory long block LT1. But truck only has 8000 miles and turbo/tune isn't finalized so rather dial in and see. Maybe a cam or injectors on the new block??.
But winter is coming and my race Camaro is past due. So need to pick a point and stop.
Oh still need the 4 channel wired and front door speakers. 74045fcbc8dcf63cc662a6aad9ba954a.jpgfbf5188d337b08f3b605a016009b0d01.jpg

So FYI running 2 way speakers in the doors sucks. In the good old days, wires are feed through door grommet now a pinned harness and multi boots are in the way. Ugh. well done just need to rewire the amp and tune it all.

Plan is a one last tune for DD and build the new motor over winter. Same time my track car is being built. Then see if the turbo truck can pull the 24' trailer and car if not Diesel tow rig? 2020 2500HD Denali.....

So I have the oil pressure issues like so many others. Starts off good 40psi at 1000rpm. Make it a mile or so and down to 20psi at 500rpms and after a few miles and getting into boost 10psi at 500rpm.

I believe it is just the super thin oil Mobil 1 0W20 dexos full synthetic. Also the 1000* turbo Can't be helping the oil temps. I will data log oil pressure vs. oil temp. After oil change back to 40psi and only drops once warmed up. odd....

I'm trying a 20% additive now. Also bought a K&N oil filter (hp-2011). Filter didn't fit, the Oil adapter for the turbo oil feed adds to the thickness and the filter hits the cross-member by about 1/4".

Trying a few new tunes friends sent me. Still want the larger turbo and dyno tune before winter...

Ive only ran amsoil in my truck.   Oulchange intervals are less as well.  All my vehicles use it and only that.  Might givgive it a try

Yeah I looked into other oils and spoke to my buddy at gm. I'm told to run a thicker oil in the summer and to data log oil temp, pressure, and get back to them I was also given a synthetic additive. It is better than the GM data for min oil pressure for now. I believe the turbo is breaking the oil down or at least heating it up more than a factory stock engine.
I love Redline on my race engine we picked up power on the engine dyno.
Oh he said he worried about running thicker oil in Michigan winters with the the setup as now I can see 60+ pressure in warm oil.

    • Well one of our most reliable vehicles was sold yesterday. The first and only I gave for free to a grandkid. If they got skin in the game they take care of it. My wife bought new. Five years later my daughter got it to use. We got it back and gave it to our grandson after graduation. He did zero maintenance just oil changes. When the AC quit he drove his mother’s car rather than get it fixed. Instead he just bought a beater and sold the Elantra.
    • I usually do as well or better than the sticker for mileage. Usually better going west than east. North then South. Wind makes a difference. I’m not usually a conspiracy theorist. But it did dawn on me I’m going by the vehicle calculation. Now that would be interesting.

    • What’s missing in all this is patience and investment in the future. Buy a 170K starter home. Ten years later sell it invest in a more expensive home. Eventually you’ll have a 600K home and pay starter home payments. Buy a starter car. Maintain it well. Save the payments after it’s payed for then buy an expensive car if you desire. Buy a tumbler make your own coffee, pack your lunch. Cook your own dinner. Most importantly take care of your car.
    • People mislead themselves. Statistics are highly useful indicators.   Here's the tie-in to this thread. If an oil sample tests shows a wear indicator of 7 using cheaper ACDelco oil, and a wear indicator of 2 (lower = less wear) using a particular brand of Mobil oil, and wear has a linear relationship with engine lifespan, anyone could assume that Mobil is reducing wear by more than 50% (let's just say a 200% reduction for you red state people trying hard to do math) which leads to increasing engine life by 2x. Perhaps, in a vacuum, by itself, when dreamed by AI.   Yeah?! That's what the statistic is saying, isn't it?   No, it isn't. It didn't come out and say engine life is doubled. That's a very bad assumption, and a case of severe myopia by assuming something potentially untrue about the only data point in focus.   Average cost of a new car is 50k. You bet it is.   The median cost of a new car is more like 35k. Expensive cars are skewing the perception that "average" now means a $50k price of entry for a very average automobile. And that's not true. People who don't understand statistics twist the living heck out of them to mean all sorts of things they don't actually mean.   "Average" new car payment is $1000/month. Yep, it is. And in that number are all the $35k new car buyers who bring significant equity, and the $25k new car buyers who finance the car for a month just to get a rebate, and then pay it off. Know what isn't in that number? All the payments made by people who don't finance a car.   Picking one's own data point (don't have a car payment, never paid $50k for a new vehicle, my house cost $170k, I afforded a middle class lifestyle on $4.50/hr) is just a data point. Just like earning $25/hr in an area where the median home price is almost $1 Million is a data point. In fact, it's a lot of data points given that 80% of the US population lives in/around major cities. They're not idiots; the vast majority of them do it to make a living because that's where the big money is.   The highs have become higher, lows have become lower, and how your personal mileage varies is not truth for an entire country. At the same time you can't NOT acknowledge the data. While it doesn't paint YOUR personal picture, it certainly tints the reality that you also live in, as does your single data point.
