Sierra Frame Changes 2014 thru 2017 ?

Thanks for all of the input and help. I will let you know how the story ends. The funny thing is that the service manager has said that if I buy another truck I will experience the same thing. He claims that all of the frames have been stiffened and there is no way of getting around it. Maybe he has been mislead by his factory field representative to just make me go away.

Would trading to a Denalli with magnetic ride solve my issue? I cant find any information about it on these forums.

I have heard guys rave about the Denali ride and handling, probably mostly due to the magnetic struts/shocks. I never test drove one of them, since they were way out of my price range. I would definitely try one out if you are serious about upgrading. When I bought my SLT, the dealer had a Denali fully loaded, that would have been $15k more than my very well equipped SLT was. I just didn't see $15k worth in upgrades.

I may try a Denali test ride. I am getting up in age and still working full time. The last 2014 afforded me a wonderful ride, the ability to carry necessary products and equipment to do my job. I probably should retire and stop beating myself up on the road but I enjoy working and dealing with my clients too much to stop.

I actually also have a very well equipped SLT and didn't think I needed any more truck. People have a tendency to think you make too much money the nicer a vehicle you drive in my business . I bought the 2017 because it made financial sense to get a new vehicle to finish out my working days in comfort. That sure backfired.

I have a Yukon also but hate to use it for work. Too many miles a day. It has a much nicer ride and has 20" wheels . It's hard to buy a new vehicle with any kind of good package without the big wheels being thrown in.

My Denali definitely drives & rides very nice... for a truck. Its still a truck and does not ride like a Cadillac CT6 or Audi A6. The Magride shocks have a big part to do with it but so do the stock Goodyear LS-2 tires. With a different tire package with something that's more of an All-Terrain tire I'm sure the ride would be affected.

Own a 14 all-terrain with 20 wheels, had a 17 mag ride denali loaner with 22 wheels for a few days.

With the denali I felt a lot more. Every single crack in the road you could feel, which was pretty annoying. But when you hit something big like a pothole with the denali, it absorbed it much better.

A frame would make little to no difference, stiffer being better.
