Hey I’m looking to hookup my beacon light and my slip tank and wondering if anybody has any pictures of switches that look okay in the truck? My truck is a 17 Silverado.

i used a rocker switch for my police scanner.

it's got a little blue light that illuminates when the scanner is on - i think it looks good.

this is the switch...  https://www.oznium.com/rocker-switch

i'm thinking of swapping the switch to one of these (just "cuz").... https://www.oznium.com/anti-vandal-led-switch

yea - i did that myself... only problem with my build thread is that photobucket now wants some ridiculous $$ so the pics show up on forums, so pretty much all the photos are gone.

i did ask a few times on fsc (thru the mods) if there was a way to go back and edit old posts (so i could add pics back into the posts) but never heard back

i'll likely just start a new build thread when i have some time

i like the toggle switch i have now - but i think this looks pretty sweet!

Aftermarket install of a factory switch(s) count?

ENGhzKK.jpg

Its the GM upfitter switches but they have to be wired to relays as they arent rated for very much current and its next to impossible to get them to work in a factory manor unless the truck originally came with the super rare option.

Are those relays the one in the main fuse box? I’ve installed my switches and they still don’t work

My truck only had the interior wiring harness. To do a full factory install I would of needed the harness that goes from the inside junction box and a whole new main fuse box.  Which seemed absurd to me when I could just install some standard relays for a fraction of the cost and simplify the install and get more functionality out of it.

I just used some standard 40A relays and mounted them to the firewall behind the battery out of site.
