What gas mileage does your ‘17 1500 get?

Stock 2wd double cab 5.3 3.42 gears getting ~21 mpg. A lot of highway miles. Usually run 75 mph.

As the weather has gotten colder, my MPG has definitely slipped. My 2017 LT 1500 DC 5.3 was initially averaging about 21 mpg (75% hgwy/ 25% city). 6 months and 10k miles later, I'm averaging about 18 mpg. As i got used to the truck and broke it in, my foot has gotten a bit heavier. average highway speeds of 75 mph on varying grade highway in central MA.

Make sure you are reprogrammed for that tire size or the mpg calcs will always be way low. 

 

I get 18.5 overall avg mpg with stock size Duratracs.

15'ish all city, 17-18 mix, 21-22 hwy only.  Except I find the on-board MPG system is incorrect compared to manually figuring it out each time I go to the pump. Miles/gallons = mpg, pretty simple.  I guess the system tries too hard - it's off by nearly 1mpg.

18.7 lifetime at 7823 miles. Bound to drop with warming it up with remote start now that winter is here. Similar to what I was getting in my 14 sierra 5.3 4x4.

Be glad it's that high.  I'm running completely stock with the factory P265's and only get 12-14 in town.

 

PS  If you're getting the 13.3 mpg off the DIC screen, your actual mileage is probably even less than that, if you figure it with a calculator. 

Not at all how this post was intended. I merely was asking out of general curiosity, and as you can see a lot of people are getting 22-23 highway. I was curious what other’s ‘17’s got and if mine would get slightly more as it gets broken in

Double cab z71 showing constant 12.0 L/100km or 19.6 mpg. Alot of highway driving but i stomp on it quite a bit around town.

5.3L 8spd -- I have 18.7mpg lifetime (12.6l / 100km) over 14k miles (22500km).  90% highway driving for me.  I typically average about 70mph (112km/h)

I have owned three of the 5.3 Ecotec3 engines prior to my current 6.2 ecotec all of which managed consistent low 20's for mpg with about 90% highway (completely stock). More specifically to answer what I think the original question was I never noticed any significant mpg improvements in any of my new trucks the mpg achieved over my first 5,000k was consistent though to ~50,000k

 

My guess is the mpg you are seeing now is what you will continue to see, dont expect the truck to drastically improve.

I have a leveled Crew Cab 1500 4x4 with the 5.3 and 25,600 miles and still running the factory 17's (which I will upgrade very soon).

I rarely average more than 17-17.5 mpg. Most of my driving, about 85-90%, is highway driving with the cruise set on either 79 mph or 84 mph, depending on which highway I'm on. During the summer, I would average 14-16 mpg with the A/C running constantly. It has just gotten cool enough to not use the A/C here in Texas, so I'm hoping that I'll see a slight increase, but only time will tell.

I'm getting about 21 MPG over 11k miles using premium fuel on a 6.2 liter. I use the the Road Trip app to record my fill ups/mileage.

80 mile drive home from the dealer, mostly highway at 77 MPH was getting 23 mpg
around the city max speed 60 MPH getting 18.9
only have 700 miles on the 3 week old truck so far, picked it up with 180 on it.
