I wouldn't mind owning a 396HP single cab Silverado SS.

That's what the SS truck should have been from the beginning. They should definitely put the 6-speed in it or at least have it as an option. I may have to make a trade if they build it, although the price is a little steep at 37 grand for a reg cab, halfton. I'm a little disappointed that my 8.1 liter is only making 340 HP, while this is making 395. Maybe their next SS will be an HD and give the 8.1 a boost in HP. We can always hope.

The one thing that would prevent me from trading for any full-size SS model is the cheap @$$ looking foglight inserts (the grey inserts in the front). They look so much like an afterthought. Surely GM could have done a better job with the front bumper.

I think Motor Trend is mis-informed or made a typo on the price. Last I heard, it was going to be in the high 20's not the high 30's.
