I think so. I can believe how much rake these trucks have compared to ford and dodge. I think I will do 1.5, maybe 2.

May I suggest air bags.    Hated the way mine looked and felt when towing my boat (2000#) and tractor (7000#)....headlights to the stars!    Now I pump the bags up to about 15 for the the boat and 40 for the tractor.   Truck stays level and the road control is so much better.

I've read about air bags, but never really looked into them.  What brand(s) are worth using, what's junk?  

 

My truck doesn't have the squat as badly as that 2nd pic of the thread, but it HAS had it almost that badly when hauling things that I just couldn't make any more adjustment to on the trailer.

Had mine on since 2014 when I bought my truck.   Firestone Ride Rite without the onboard air compressor.   Couldn't imagine towing without them.

Here is mine which is leveled with Bilstein 5100's on the max height setting.  I also have Firestone Ride Rite air bags to level it rear back out, but I only had to put a few psi in the bags.  The rear with the car/trailer and about 800lbs of stuff in the bed only squat about an inch.  Not much at all.
