Need Help Finding a Fuel System Component

I need help finding a component for my fuel system. I dropped the gas tank in my 2005 GMC Sierra (because of hurricane harvey and the truck has sat for awhile) and found a 90 degree connector with a plug in it, that has a broken hose connection from what looks like a vent line on the rear of the tank. I cannot seem to locate this fitting anywhere, I've looked at autozone, rockauto, oreillys, and various GM parts dealers online with no luck. I've attached pictures of where it's broken.

Do I even need this line? Could I plug it off? If anything I suppose I could tap a new fitting on somehow if push came to shove. Thanks in advance!

Perhaps you could repair it with Permatex "The Right Stuff, One Minute Gasket Maker". Its like liquid rubber in a can. If not, I would call the dealer, and ask them for the part number. Then just Google the part number or plug that number into eBay/Amazon.

Its part of the whole big "S" hose that's why.  25853662 for 26 gallon tank, 25853663 for 34 gallon tank.  That's the emissions hose from the tank to the EVAP canister, and the skinny long part that's on the bottom of the T goes to the tank vent.  If you left that open or plugged it, you'd end up with a check engine light for a large vapor leak, or too much tank pressure.

Replace the hose.

The RTV does not have any resistance to gasoline.  You would probably be better off using a specialized epoxy if the broken piece can actually be repaired.  Just make sure the area is thoroughly cleaned and sanded.

PT, I have had good luck with that gasket maker, however - you are correct. It is not specifically designed to resist fuel. However:

Permatex has a fuel resistant version -

Starman, that stuff is just a dressing.  It does not harden or cure.  (I work for Permatex)  :D

Wait a minute. You WORK for Permatex? As an outside sales rep, or an actual employee? What do you do for them? Please provide more info on your employee status with this company.

If his hose is a low pressure application such as a vent, a dressing should suffice, no? If its high pressure, he would need something else, like a new part.

Better to install the new part since he has it apart. No need for southern engineering that might fail in the future
