Air conditioner failure

I just found out this afternoon that my ac condenser has also failed on my 2015 Silverado to the tune of $1200. This is unacceptable for a 3 year old truck to have this type of failure! General Motors needs to step up and take care of this for myself and other folks that have had the same problem! I'm done with General Motors, I've been a loyal customer for many years! Ford or Dodge will be my next new truck...probably sooner than later. GM, step up and fix this issue for myself and others!!

Dealer quoted me the same !! I ordered one from Napa $100 and replaced it myself in about 2 hours and had it recharged for $60. Do not let the dealer charge you $1200 for something so simple they are worthless

This. I was in less than $150 total including the beer my buddy drank while recharging it.

Ask about gm paying some of it.

3 months ago costed me $400 for my 2014 with 45k miles, at the dealer. I jus tasked the dealer about the gm assistance because its a known issue and he say sure no problem. Just called whoever he calls at gm and took care of it right away.

1 failure and this is how you react by running to a forum and whining about leaving? You do realize all manufacturers have problems right? Go check out Ford and see how you react to a turbo or intercooler failure. I guess enjoy the competitors, thanks for being a contributing member here!

Tyler, there have been many issues with this POS truck!! Vibration issues, radiator, failure, oil consumption! $45,000 junk! I may as well be driving a Rambler! BTW, there's no whining here, only a lot of lost time, money and headaches! I have had somewhere in the neighborhood of 200-300 vehicles over the years, I will never purchase another NEW GM vehicle again!

That's ok, GM doesn't care. Neither do any of the other manufacturers. Loyalty means nothing anymore. It sucks I agree.

We have been changing condensers like crazy lately. It makes no sense that GM has a special policy on Yukons, Tahoes, Suburbans and Escalades but not the pickups.Same part and same failure.Check out 17336-03 special policy for the information on whats covered and whats not.
