EFI autocal returning to all stock?

Hey guys,

After a little over a year of ownership I’ll be parting ways with my 2015. It’s been a good run but it’s time to trade her in.

I currently have a black bear tune via an EFI autocal and was wondering if you have to do anything special to be able to sell it to someone else. AKA is it locked to my VIN? If so, how do I unlock it? Would like to be able to sell in he classified section and don’t want to sell someone a paperweight if I was supposed to do anything special before sending it to them....

Thanks in advance,

Ice

Might have better luck getting an answer if you post here?

Guessing you already checked their website and didn’t find the answer?

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot.

And yea, I checked their website but all the info i could find is about going from stock to modded but nothing about returning to stock

You don't have to do anything special. Whoever you sell it to will need it buy a license to have their vehicle tuned.

Ah, okay. Used to the Subaru would where not unmarrying the Subaru version of an autocal
Would render it 100% unless to any other vehicle. Do I need to put the factory tune back on the truck?

You can use the AutoCal to put your vehicle back to factory settings before trading it in. To sell it, you just have to keep in mind the person buying the AutoCal will have to purchase a tune and license to use on their vehicle. The purchaser can contact us for instructions on how to reconfigure it for their vehicle, to data log, and to purchase the tune and license. 2016 or earlier it is $325 for a the tune and license. 2017+ price will depend on if they have a 8 speed or 6 speed. You or they can call or email us if there any other questions. Or PM us here.
