Steps are close but don’t touch. About 1/2” of clearance with 33x12.5x22. Anything wider or use of wheel spacer may cause them to hit the tires

Little update on my truck: 

 

I ended up purchasing a 3.5” lift kit from Fabtech and I also picked up 22x10-25 Hostile Rims wrapped with 33” x 12.5” Ridge Grapplers. The rims however did not fit the new brake calipers are too big so I’m waiting on spacers, only need like 5mm extra room they were really close. I’ll keep you guys updated I think I’m going to lift it tomorrow or Wednesday depending when I get spacers. I have a feeling I’ll have to do a bit of trimming. 

 

Im also doing a flow master muffler and removing the resonator. I did a Borla Attak on my last truck while my brother did this and while the Borla was definitely better the cost justification between the 2 wasn’t in my opinion. I’ll let you guys know after I get some seat time if I end up really regretting it

 

Also so on the truck is a back rack and bakflip mx4 tonneau. 

 

PS I will clean it for when I post the updated with lift pictures but here’s where I’m at.

Has anyone put the Nitto 33x12.5R22LT Ridge Grappler on the 2019 Denali Ultimate without leveling?

Might sound like a silly question, but I can't seem to find the answer I am looking for. Just got the 6" BDS lift, and now my wife hates it because the power assist step are too high for her to use. Does anyone know of a solution to replace the stock Denali power assist steps with some sort of drop step?

 

Less pressing, Now my wheel well liners look short, LOL.

If you want the drop you are looking for, yes.

Sell yours and apply it towards the Amp's, they have different "drops", and you are already wired from the factory.

 

Would think it would be a pretty easy swap.

I had the AMPs on my 2015 and they worked perfect, even with the Michigan salt and Ice.  If I didn't have the factory boards on the 2019 I would do the AMPs again.

The factory boards do everything that I want right now, that's why I was thinking that I wasn't the first person to have this problem. I was hoping someone else had tried to replace just the chrome metal step bar with an aftermarket step bar with a drop step, or maybe even a bracket to lower the position of the step bar a few inches. I know I would lose the 3rd position that moves the step towards the rear wheel and bed, but I would be fine with that. 

 

If anyone is wondering, yes the factory step bar hits the rear wheel when it rotates back, but not by much. I can post a picture if anyone wants.

Next up is bakflip cover.  mine will be used for daily driver and moderate off road use, Dove lease, duck, lease, etc.

      How many years have I pointed out every point in that link to the folks here and been avalanched with criticisms and outright hostilities at times? I ran counter to even the great CUSTOMBOSS and Lake Speed Jr and the half dozen experts on YouTube and in the final.....GM, Physics (Stribeck) backs that Grumpy old Bear.    Honestly, I never said a thing engineering hadn't studied silly and laid in concrete during WWII. But I'm old, the information is old and yet, the Laws of Physics are eternal.    Okay there is one exception. I vehemently disagree with their use of the word 'tolerances' when what it meant is "clearance".   The clearance is the distance between two objects. The tolerance is the degree of acceptable variation permitted in that clearance. I.E., piston to bore clearance is 0.004" with a tolerance of +/- .0002" so the clearance is in specification if it lies between 0.0038" and 0.0042". Cutting that 'tolerance in half has ZERO impact on lubrication requirements. Makes for more difficulty in manufacturing.  But a tighter clearance 'MAY'. Depends on finish. Anyway....   It's one of those statements made by people to make themselves look smarter than they are to convince people who are as un-enlighten as they seem to manipulate their behaviors. But hey, the blind leading the blind puts them both in the pit.

      Out and about yesterday on a long Saturday drive I passed a lot of Shell stations. My preferred, so I pay attention. Lot's of small town Illinois so not six stations in three blocks like the city.    Everyone of them over a radius of say 100 miles had regular at $4.19 but one which was the one closest to home at $4.15. However Premium pricing varied greatly between 85 cents over regular to $1.50 over. I'm not counting the price of the station with the lowest regular so the reference is the same for the remainder and all within the same brand. However the spread discrepancy holds across all brands.     @txab, any thoughts on that?

      What are your thoughts? The Chevy Blazer relaunch was an epic case of 'lunchbag letdown'. Jeep Wranglers and Ford Broncos stick out like a sore thumb.    The AI photos do not look like a 'retro version', but shrunken Tahoes. Get away from the 'futuristic look'. I've seen two concepts. One had rectangular headlight like a Rivian and the other way to big should include dual round headlights like the early version.   If not this would look OK   At least it has GM styling (albeit the K2XX) A lot of the images floating around look like Bronco IIs or the current Bronco. Looking at the Broncos in my area (central Ontario, it seems to be a mix of 2 doors and 4 doors, 'mall rated' to ones that could go offroad.    I'm sure a AT4 and AT4X RPOs could be outfitted similar to a Rubicon if the braintrust understood the whole offroad scene. Crosing my fingers that if it does see the light that the front air dam/bumper doesn't extend below the center line of the tire...

      And overpriced. I was in the Oshawa Truck Plant when they were being built. Very few. I could count on one hand how many I've seen since
