Would anyone know if a Sierra 1500 can be towed by a moving truck . I retired and am moving to Florida and will be using a 16 foot truck to move what is left after downsizing . I bought the Sierra last year  4 door six foot bed and would be easier if I towed it behind me .

Your manual pages 416 - 420 for how to tow 4x2 and 4x4 trucks.

In short you can use a 2 wheel car dolly but shift transfer case into N. Personally I would try and get a trailer where the entire truck will fit instead of a car dolly.

Another vote for getting a trailer to tow your truck with.  Makes for a more relaxed experience IMO.  Did a Pennsylvania to South Texas tow with a car on a dolly and I won't ever do it again.  Just be careful when pulling into gas stations or you could rip off a fender or worse a fuel pump.  Don't let people pressure you in tight spaces.  Take your time and leave yourself plenty of room.

Trailer it and tow it with the U-haul.

Put the wear and tear on their equipment.

Or, go through another downsize sort and rent a trailer to tow behind your truck!  We once did this for one of our longer moves.  I know it is difficult but most of us could fit our personal necessities in a 6X12 UHaul trailer.  The bulky, outdoor stuff can go in the bed of your pickup!
