2018 Denali odd purple LED segment in headlight? (Pic)

Has anyone seen this before or is it normal?  My passenger side headlight has one small section of the LED surround that’s purple.

I'd be taking that bad to the dealer for repair.  My guess is the LED's are failing.

Thanks guys.  That’s a bummer considering it’s only got 600 miles on it.  Hopefully it’s just a one time thing and won’t be a recurring issue.

Just a quick update - took it to the dealer I bought it from this morning (a 1 hour drive via a 37 mile goat trail).  Dealer says "yep it needs replaced for sure, should have the replacement one in 5-6 MONTHS."  Said the last Denali headlight they replaced took that long to come in.

 

So I stopped by my local GMC dealer just down the road from me and they looked at it and said they should have a replacement in a couple of weeks.

I hope this doesn't become a common issue for these headlight types.

Local dealer just called me - replacement headlight is arriving tomorrow!   Quite a bit quicker than 5-6 months!

Could always upgrade them to brighter LEDs, but that requires taking the headlight apart.

See if you can keep the old headlight, doubt it but worth a try.

That will fetch quite the change on ebay. I hope the dealer doesnt just throw that out.
