Hi everyone I have a 2015 1500 double cab. my truck has a 308 gear and I want to know if I change it to a 373 gear if I need to do anything else.the truck has the 6 speed transmission and already has a trailer   in the cab. can you help me with this.

You have a trailer in the cab of your truck? How’s that working out for you? ?

 

Anyway you didn’t mention if yours is a 4wd or not but assuming it is this thread gives you a breakdown of the parts needed & cost.  Obviously you wouldn’t need the Trutrack if your wanting to retain the G80. Also as mentioned you’ll need a tuner or custom tune to “recalibrate” the speedo. Hypertech makes a Speedo calibrate tool that only corrects the speedo for tire size and/or gear changes if your not wanting to “tune” your truck.

You need to change a few setting in the tune

 There is a gear field but also check vvs and tcm.

Same as tires the revolutions per mile. Little things matter.

Hypertech makes an inline speedo corrector. I put in it works great.  3.42 to 4.10 Cammed, Long tubes, custom tuned and 3200 stall

Welcome to this forum.  You will find a lot of information here.  I am curious as to your reasons for swapping gears.

I assume because 3.08 gears are terrible for towing. The 6 speed 3.08 geared truck is the tallest geared truck on the market and the tow ratings reflect it.
