07 Silverado diff questions

I have a 07 Silverado with a noisy diff(275k).it is a g80 gt4 jf3.( Drum brakes.i have a good diff from a 08 .g80 gt4. Jf3 jf4.with disc brakes.could I remove the disc brakes and mount my drums to use the 08 diff?? Thanks

That would simplify things without having to reprogram (maybe) for ABS.

I think you would be just fine, swap away. The axles did not change much other than as talked about by swathdiver.

ABS and disc brakes was about the only variations you could get.
