Gear swap ?

Hey guys.  Im looking to put some new 4.10 gears in my 2014 sierra.  I currently have 3.42 gears with a 5in suspension lift.  I fish alot and pull a 21ft boat, and have very little power.  Tired of it changing gears so much.  What all do i need to swap them out, and what kind of fuel mileage should i expect (not pulling boat).

Will you run the same tires and if so, what are they?

I'm cammed, Stalled and get 14.4-16 city. about 22-25 at 70-80 MPH Highway. I have stock 20 inch wheels. I did the swap myself from 3.42 to 4.10 you may get worse or better depending on your tire size and other mods

If you still have AFM active, you will be in V4 a lot and gas mileage may even improve. I have 4.56 gears with 33.5” tires. Gas mileage improved for me compared to running those tires without the gears. Then I deactivated AFM and it dropped back down. Hard to give you a reliable number right now since I let my truck idle so much now with how cold it is.

Do you guys have the 6.2 or 5.3? All the gear swap thread folks have 6.2s. Was wondering if the same applies to the 5.3 6speed.
