With BDS stock 18" wheels will not fit due to wheel offset, not 18" size.  I have 2020 AT4 with BDS 2.5" (which is 4.5" for regular truck) with Fox 2.5's in front with DSC and 2.0 in the back.  I have 18" x 9" Method NV wheels which are 12mm offset (stock are 36mm if I recall correctly) and they work fine.   Leveled the front (up about 2.5")  and is about 1/2" higher than stock in the rear.  It rides significantly better than stock and has real off road capability.  The fox shocks are awesome.  The stock suspension was fine for the street - but 5 mph or less off road with any sort of bumps.  My buddy has the BDS 4" lift on his AT4 (6" for regular height trucks) with same set up (only difference is the his shocks are longer and the block size in the back) and he has same ride quality and even more off road capability with added clearance.  He has 20" wheels on his.   My mileage was not impacted with the switch, as I stayed similar height.  His mileage is down about 1-2 mpg across the board.  From stock I would expect to lose 2-3 mpg going to 6" kit.

Im looking to do 35s and a 6" on my sierra 1500 but have to be under 7'

My buddy moved on to a Ford F250 Tremor 

 

Mine measures 80" (6' 8") from ground to top of the shark fin (high point on roof) with OEM Goodyeaer Duratracs 275/65/18's and 2.5" BDS coilover lift - if you went to 35/12.5/18 Duratrack you would add 2.6" of diameter (32.2" vs 34.8") - (BFG KO2's 35x12/5x18 are 34.5", so you save a little height)- so that takes you to 6' 10 1/2" to top of shark fin, with my 2.5" lift - add another 1.5" to go to 4" lift on AT4, which would equal a 6" on stock truck - you are now at 7' 1/2" - so need to remove/relocate or cut down the shark fin to make 7'  or go with a smaller tire - a BFG K02 34/12/5x18 is 33.5" - so that would get you just under the 7' threshold. 

 

So on 35's it will be tire dependent - if you look up tires on Tire Rack - go to the tire size you want - pick a tire and open it up - then click on specs and you can see the measurements - if you click on "see all tire sizes" after you open the spec box - you can see the specs for every tire size they make - for that particular tire.

This info is very helpful! Feel like imma be going 35s and 4" route. Or maybe 6" and 34s. Falken has a set on at3w that are 34s

I'm trying to put a 6-in lift on my 2018 Chevy Silverado 1500 custom 4x4. I'm doing it all myself piece by piece because it's all I can afford for now but I'm having trouble understanding the geometry I guess... So to get a 6-in lift I have to do a 3 in lifted strut with a 3-inch lifted knuckle plus the sway bar extension... What else will I need will I need to lower the differential?.. all I need CV extensions? Etc... any help would be greatly appreciated.. maybe even a rundown of exactly what I need and what sizes like if I'm lifting the front 6 in what kind of lifting block do I need in the back to make it level etc

My 2023 Sierra is lifted (kinda Frankenstein it alil) but I had 7” FTS lift kit all around with fts ucas, bought the 7-10”FTS crossmembers with diff drop bracket believe the spindle were they same and 10”-12” carbon coilovers, 10” rear blocks with add a leaf, 3” bodylift from performance accessories before they changed the name but had to modify the front brackets since they don’t make it for the refresh frontend. Drives smooth with 42s but I did notice my cv axles do stick out alil bit.  I did put all new ball joints, tierods inner/outter, cv axlesIMG_5474.thumb.jpeg.4d55586be33cbfc871a98b48005e43d7.jpeg

    • Folks, Have a great new 2026 WT  (std cab, 2.7/4WD) w/base 40/20/40 mech adj bench "fake buckets"  (with lower and upper center console) heavy vinyl seats.  Overall the seats are very comfortable and the vinyl is heavy and appears less likely to 'split out'. Am very tall (6'5")  + a bad back/osteporosis/former hyperparathyroidism so ease/range of movement is a bit restricted.  The truck rides a bit high and I use a nerf step bar w/my left foot to step in, then I put right foot/leg in, drag my butt in  & get seated.  Worked fine in my 2018 RAM quadCab. But I end up dragging my butt over the left raised sidecushsion area of vinyl seat, and due to texture there's fair amount of traction on slide inward.  (ArmorAll didn't improve.) If the seat were even ~1/2" - 3/4" lower it'd be helpful, but base seats just have the forward/backward underseat bail and the side lever for tilt which really doesn't affect seat height.   I really don't want to 'de-puff' the left side sidecushion forming the  fake 'bucket'. I know one company sells 'seat elevator blocks':  but is there a simple way of lowering the height of the driver seat instead?   Thanks Bill W San Jose  
    • I have a basic 2026 1500 WT  (2.7L/4WD reg cab shorttbed). Comfy, generally happy with electronics/radio - but is there a way I can add switches to steering wheel right-side position (curr. empty) so I can adjust volume, push phone button to voice dial, etc? Bill W San Jose  
    • The curb weight on a 1 ton crew cab long bed is around 7k lbs.  Now, I don't know where you went to school but 9k is not more than 2x 7k lbs. More than 2x 7k lbs would be 14k+.   With that said, obviously yes you're going to feel a 9k lb trailer when slowing down.  I already said, when accelerating.  When changing lanes?  No.  But if you look at the context of what was quoted, the original person said, "after a mile or two..." which means that would be after the accelerating portion and you're driving a generally steady pace.  Please do learn to read and comprehend.
    • So I purchased the Range unit for my 2026 and I am seeing different locations suggested for the ECM . Can anyone confirm wither under hood, left side or right side or behind the wheelwell?
    • Like I've said before. Di and Carbon buildup is not that big of a concern. Engine had minimal buildup, and that engine was obviously not super well maintained. Do regular oil changes, and you're gtg as long as the rest of the truck lasts. Also, the High Pressure FP that people ****** about, but can't tell you why.  Now, I wish they'd trash the variable oil pump. No real world issues with them, but I'll gladly eat whatever miniscule MPG it's saving me in favor of more oil at all RPMs.    Curious to see his assessment of the 7.3 compared to the 6.6. I expect he'll praise the port inj, but from a structural standpoint, the 6.6 is as robust as any engine out there.    Not to take away from the 7.3. I feel it's equally as good as the 6.6.     As to heat on the rear cyls, I'd have to see numerous examples before I'd say it's an issue. Especially not knowing the history of that engine. For all is known, they could have blown a rad hose, and ran it hot, and the 2 rear cyls may be the first to get hot in a low coolant situation, but not be an issue aside from that.
