Ok, random issue.

I noticed over the last week my Trip A Odometer is resetting the mileage itself. I think this has happened twice. I had never reset the Trip A (roughly 63, 000 miles on the truck), and use the Trip B for tire rotation scheduling (I'm lazy).

Just the Trip A, and just the mileage, not the MPG reading. If you manually reset it, don't both the mileage and MPG reset?

2015 GMC Sierra 1500.

Any ideas?

Sounds like the trip odometer gets stored in 16 bit register.  The max number for that would be 32,767, which is around half of your current total mileage.

It showed the total vehicle mileage until the reset a week ago...

you know?  I think this happened to me too now that you mentioned it.....Mine reset because I left either A or B going from driving off the lot to track MPG's... Weird

Yup. that's basically what I was doing. Lifetime MPG average on Trip A... I reset Trip B when I put on Toyo R/T 295/70R17s to see how much the fuel economy changed... (.8 MPG BTW)

I never reset my trip A either. Haven't had an issue with the truck, but my Equinox has reset itself when it struggled to start during a recent cold snap. It finally started but the voltage must have been low enough for a reset.

Yes, they both reset when done manually.

2015 Duramax: I reset my Trip A to 0 after refueling. Drove the truck roughly 30 miles, parked it and shut it off. 20 mins later, I jumped in the truck to leave and the trip had jumped back to the roughly 400 miles that it was at before I reset it. I was able to repeat this 3 times that day. Haven't drove it since.
