RODNEY CLOWER
I BROUGHT 2 TIRES WITH 10 PLY RATING ON MY 2004 SILVERADO 2500HD AND THE NEXT 2 TIRES WITH 4 PLY RATING BY ACCIDENT BUT I ALREADY HAD THEM MOUNTED. SHOULD I PUT THE 10 PLY ON THE BACK AND 4 PLY ON THE FRONT. tHIS IS A DIESEL BY THE WAY.
MaverickZ71
Why you be shouting? If you haul or tow, put the 10 plies on the back. Keep the like tires on the same axles, until you can buy 2 more tires to have a complete set of the same tires. But if you rotate the tires ever, like you are supposed to for best tire wear, it won't matter which are on the front or back, because all tires will end up being on all positions, port and starboard, fore and aft. Logan Lanfear
Sell the 4 ply or return them. Even on the front they will just wear out quickly. Plus, what happens when you have to rotate your tires?
carnutdallas
Tire company cannot technically install 4 ply tires on a 3/4 ton truck. Liability reasons. Exchange them. Do not do it, period.
Donstar
Do what it takes to get four LT designated tires on your truck. Putting LT tires on a 1/2 ton that came with P rated tires is safe but putting P rated tires on a 3/4 ton truck that came with LT tires is not. (just because they fit doesn't make it right)
