Thejet07 Posted November 15, 2020 Posted November 15, 2020 So I had the tsb done. So far I haven’t been in a really dark situation but I definitely see a difference. Hopefully, I could get to a dark road and test it outSent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
postpounder Posted November 22, 2020 Posted November 22, 2020 Yep My is too bright also, You can't see out the windows, Mostly the rear window, I would call it a safety issue ! also the tail gate cables are too short . Steve, 2020 GMC elevation
Hebarb56 Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 (edited) The display is hazardously bright at night. Will be taking it to dealer this week. Edited December 6, 2020 by Hebarb56 Need to take to dealer before complaining
Braulio G Posted February 19, 2021 Posted February 19, 2021 Definitely way to bright and to me it seems dangerous considering I can’t use my mirrors. The service advisor at the dealer says there nothing he can do but he never makes it a line on the RO. I’ll have to make him put the complaint on the ticket hoping GM does something about it. I’ve tried looking in the menu for a way to dim it and even tried using the actual dimmer and nothing. Every time I take the truck for service I say something about it but I get no help. Basically a “deal with it”. Day time it’s fine but night time sucks. I’m sure GM could program the update to have a day and night time brightness by using the sun sensor signal. 2020 Silverado 1500 Duramax 4x4
Peter Fulton Posted March 29, 2021 Posted March 29, 2021 SXP-020UV Amber: Decorative Films, LLC. Order a sample. $4.40 with shipping. Will have to trim it slightly. Tried several colors. Amber worked the best. Reduces the brightness but can still see the back up lines on the screen.
