Torque specs - rear diff cover and transmission pan

Recommended Posts

I found two links that said 20 ft-lbs so that is what I ended up doing.

I got a paper from a buddy that had all the torque specs and it said 15 ft-lbs plus 20 deg. It doesn’t make sense to have that bolt be a torque to yield (said cover bolts need to be replaced).

SS502 - where did you see 30 ft-lbs?

For the transmission pan I found 80 in-lbs for those bolts.

Damn, I made a mistake...the drain plug is 30 ft-lbs, not the actual bolts. I was going off my G2 cover install instructions. Glad you did further checking.
