DustinZ71 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 Hey all, I am looking to do the exhaust on my 2015 z71 and am wondering what the difference is in the performance and sound between true dual system and a single in dual out muffler? Im mainly looking to improve the sound, so trying to see if there is a discernible difference. Appreciate your thoughts and comments!
Bohanan23 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 x pipe will make more power over a "y pipe" setup a lot of the times. Look at speed engineering x pipe kit. I am running their long tube headers and y pipe for now. x pipe setup will usually be more deeper and less raspy
Mikebtte Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 One you did not talk about was dual in single out. This has been a great set up as well and I have ran it with good results. Has a good scavenging effect. Other than that I would second the X pipe talked about above.
Sierra Dan Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 IMHO, I think this is the best looking exit option/performance and sound system I have ever run across. I wish there was a Kinney's in my neck of the woods!
wforrest08 Posted April 12, 2019 Posted April 12, 2019 ⬆️ Look up the site Dan posted that video from. Kinney’s makes claim as to how much HP their true duals make before and after tests on a dyno. If I was closer my truck would be running their exhaust.
