2018 Mylink unlock / stock 8" replacement?

Running the stock Mylink system with the large screen in my 2018 Sierra, no DVD or nav.

 

Has anyone here upgraded to a better head unit? Or been able to unlock the navigation and video in motion? I can pop a USB stick with video in and when parked play movies but when I change to D it stops the video.

 

I do a fair bit of traveling and these features should be stock on a truck if this price.

All I can say is why didnt you get one with the navigation. Also, are you saying you want to watch a movie as you drive.

$900 is what they wanted for navigation. A top of the line GPS is less than half that.

 

My wife and kids like to watch. I use podcasts and audio books

Im positive there are other cost effective options out there. That's just an example. Google mylink video in motion. Also im positive one er two of the guys on this forum can hook you up. Like you said it should of been a factory opt.
