Ok so we have less than 3200 miles and had to add more DEF Fluid total of 7.5 gallons total.  Does anyone know if this just a 2019 issue or is it something else.

Factory doesn't fuel fuel or def tanks.

As long as we've had def (2011MY) we've had many of dealers not filling def tanks. even though many will fill the fuel tank.

Unless it's spent it's life hooked to a trailer and working hard, your's probably wan't full.

Should use somewhere around 1.5 gal def per 100 gal fuel.

Interesting...I have a total of 7800 miles on my '19.  Dealer filled at at about 600 because it was not topped off at delivery as noted above.  Had it serviced at 6600 miles as oil life indicated, dealer was told to make sure they top it off with service and they said they did.  Now at 7800 miles and got a notification I need DEF in 990 miles which would be only 2400 miles with this tank of DEF, not the 6000-7000 like it should be?

Did you check the def level status indicator after the 6600 miles service?

Sure sounds like they didn't fill it.  Or maybe somebody just dropped in a 1 gal jug...?

(I've seen my dealer using 1 gal size jugs for customers with the little cruze diesel)

I do not believe you can check to see how full it is; either mileage or percentage.  It notifies at 995 to empty.  If the tank senses it has adequate DEF it just displays "OK" until you are at 995 or lower.  Shitty setup.

Above 30% remaining there is not indication other than the 'OK' message.

The 'level OK' indicator will change to % remaining when it gets down to 30%.

The DIC, will pop first warning somewhere close to 1000 miles remaining.

First time this one got the 1000 mile warning the  def indicator was at 22%.

When the next tank gave the 1000 mile warning it was at about 19%.

When it gets to 300 miles to empty it will give remaining mileage range at each start.

Somewhere below 100 miles remaining it stops giving mileage remaining and says 'DEF range low' (kinda like how fuel range message changes).

When it thinks tank is empty it warns 500 miles til 65 mph speed limit.

This message will alternate with 'Exhaust fluid empty fill now'.

These alternating messages cannot be dismissed.

The mileage will count down from 500 as you drive. (I tried it....)
