A/C Compressor PAG Viscosity for 2014-2018 GM Trucks

What viscosity PAG oil is recommended or used in dealers or from the factory on the 2014-2018 K2 trucks? 

46, 100 etc ….

Does that have 134a or the new $100/lb. & flammable 1234YF?

 

I couldn't even tell you what that new refrigerant uses for oil. If I remember right, I believe it's still the same as 134a (PAG). I'd feel safe throwing 150 in there. I can't seem to find a definitive answer on the net. GM likes to keep these things a big secret ...

I believe 1234yf uses POE oil.

From what I've been hearing, 134a will drop right in place of this new ripoff refrigerant. Illegal, of course, but only if you get caught.

Can't really blanket the PAG oil recommendation on 2014-2019(old body) as two refrigerants are used. 

 

2014-2016, and some 2017 use R-134a refrigerant.  Those use GM 88901445 R134a PAG oil, 46 viscosity.

 

Some 2017 and most all 2018-2019 old body use R1234yf refrigerant.  Those use GM 19354657 R1234yf PAG oil. 

 

Only hybrid/EV vehicles use POE refrigerant oils.

True, since there was a change with the Refrigerant, the PAG would also be updated.

Basically there are several PAG viscosity types out there for R134 and I wanted to know if GM was using 46, 100, 150 etc.
