I've been wondering about these transmissions, in particular how they shudder between low gears when accelerating and coming to a stop. What's the deal with the options on approaching this issue? What is a fast relearn from the dealership? When is a relearn good to do? How does a transmission 'learn'? Think Amsoil would fix this problem? (certainly fixed the rough shift in my 2015 Sierra). Is it a solenoid issue? Just want some opinions on how someone more knowledgeable would approach this. Thanks.

Mine gets better all the time.  The more I drive the more it learns apparently.

Hypertech Max Energy 2.0 with Trans on “Sport” setting really smoothed out my Trans.

Never heard of the Amsoil trick. Thanks!

How many miles on it now?

4800. Sometimes it gets confused but honestly it’s usually pretty transparent.

With all the posts about the 8sp transmission I will not buy anything with it. I would rather have the 6sp. Looks like I will be waiting for the 2020 Trailboss with the 6.2L and 10sp.
