My truck has a GM rubber mat in the bed that is 1/2 inch thick...I took these measurements on top of that mat. At front window...40 inches. Middle of wheel wells...40.5 inches. Just in front of rear window... 40.5 inches.

Hope this helps.

Just curious, how is the gap between the cap and the bed along the sides? The leer starts out tight, then seems to bow out in the middle to the point I can stick my entire hand in the gap. Looks really sloppy on the leer. Curious if the all do that or just Leer 1eea8e5ea4b2f88f76d003481ebe9b90.jpg928e325330ace0ac6bdfda5dd953df73.jpg

The ARE cap "side gap" is quite regular front to back, less than 3/8 of an inch, you can't stick your fingers in anywhere along it.
