5.3L motormount replacement

Has anybody done one on the drivers side of a 2014.  The mechanic wants 225 labor and I thought that was high. Any suggestions? Thanks Michael

Figure 225 is two hours. For that, I’d let him do it.

Try to do it yourself and you'll think 500 was worth it.

It's not like your changing the upper mount on a Geo metro?  That is indeed a decent price for the labor!

LOL nope not at all. They suck. 

 

Shops charge 1k or better to do both mounts with labor and parts on 07-13 2wd trucks.

 

225 for labor on one is really a bargain.

 

I do them a lot on the 07-13 trucks... And they are a hair harder on the 14+ trucks in my experience so far.
