2019 AT4 Shifter stuck in park!!!

Just curious . Mine seemed to happen when it was cold 28 degrees. Does anyone else notice temperature to be a factor?

No, the weather hasn’t made a difference for me. I purchased my car in middle of December and the first 3 weeks I owned the car it happened often. It only happened twice in the beginning of February and has not happened since. It seems the more my car has broken in the problem has corrected itself.

My 2020 Elevation is stuck in park. Had it a week. 400 miles. Will see what dealer says...

I took my truck in last week to the dealer and they confirmed I needed a part that they had to order from US. I just confirmed my booking with my dealer this morning. Not sure which part it is yet.

I noticed when mine was acting up the click I hear In the column when pressing the break pedal was faint or not there. When I told my dealer that, they new what to look for.
Temperature didn’t seem to matter.

Maybe there was a forklift incident with some stored parts? The warehouse team probably scooped all the modules up and repackaged them before upper management found out about the minor incident.............................

Looks like the stuck in park issue is fix. Now I notice the Manual shift in low is not working. Back to the dealer.

Had the same issue on my 2020 LT TB.

Took it in, they saw the problem, told me we're ordering a part, 1 week later they changed it and it's brand new.

 

Part number is 84800777

2019 AT4, I have a similar problem although,  i think mine maybe related to driving thru slush for 3 hrs, my underside is a block of ICE, you cant even see the tranny. I'm currently stuck in parking lot with temps out side around 0. It'll warm up later this week. My thoughts is the linkage is frozen in a block of ice. Lets hope that's what it is.

owned the truck less than a week. Unable to shift out of park for several minutes 4 random times. Took it to dealers this morning and they said they could not do anything until it could be reproduced. I drove an hour home and it got stuck again in a parking lot. I called the dealer and told them to send a tow truck. After 5 minutes it magically worked and I drove it back in. It got stuck again with the counter person, and then again with the technician. They are ordering a new part (not sure which one yet) and I get to drive a little crappy buick while I make truck payments for a while.

Truck back. Part 84800777 replaced. No issues yet.

Dealer rebooted software and manual shift is working fine.

I don't think there is forklift driver's fault. Those racks should not be that easy to knock down.

The solution for this is moving the column around in all directions to loosen things up. Mine stopped doing this and is fine now.

Have a 20 LT trailboss. Wont shift out of park in the morning..  Sent it to the dealer Monday,  Said they replaced the steering lock control. Well come Tuesday it happens again. Back to the dealership it went. I've called twice to see if they were getting anywhere and all they are saying is they have GM engineers looking into it.

My 2020 RST also won’t shift out of park. It has happened several times. It’s been at the dealer for two days and they can’t replicate the condition and have no solution.
