Watching videos on the 2019/2020 1500 Infotainment Screen

Anyone know if its possible to watch a video from a USB drive on the front screen....

I've got a 2019 Denali 1500.... dont see an option anywhere, and dont see video files listed in the USB drive when I browse for them. I know in the past, you used to be able to watch them while the vehicle was in park.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Tried - no go - can't read mp4 files and play on the front screen when stopped like the old '16 which could read off dvd or usb drive.

I was thinking a way for a video input would be cool for a front camera in the grill for parking...

I have that already in the Denali. Not sure what trim level you need to have in order to get all of the cameras that are in mine, but it may be something that can be added.

If you have a jail broken iPhone you can play video through Carbridge. I’m sure there’s a similar hack for Android Auto but it needs to be rooted.

Ideally, someone would come along and figure out how to get the Google Play store working so that we can download other apps. I don't care about playing movies, but an Audible app seems like something that should have been available on-release.

He is saying to utilize it to play through the camera feature.
