too early and especially for that truck, and its a HD.....they are last to discount, but be patient and keep at it, getting best deal usually takes a lot of work and time but well worth it

I bought a  2020 custom gas motor this week. When I left the dealer on Monday they were $4500 away. I would not let them run my credit because I knew that would not be a problem. They kept working off of payments and I wanted bottom line OTD. Called Tuesday morning and they were 2500 away. I trade my current truck and they gave me some more on it.

By lunch time they were 1000 away. They kept working on payment and the interest rate was too high. Kept wanting me to agree to payment. Never do this, if credit score is  good. Mine was around 725. When I went in to talk the last time the price was $1k off my target price. They found an educator discount because I am a teacher. That made the price $1 off my target . I made them take the $1 off, and somehow that dropped teh price another $22.  After all was said done I got 15% off MSRP, paid the taxes out of pocket, and got $10500 for my truck. I financed $31878 at 3.8% interest.  My dad always says a good car deal should take 3 days to work out and never go to the dealer ship after the initial meeting til your ready to sign the paper work.

a lot of homework involved for good deals, and OP is smart doin it thru emails, I only set foot in a dealership to pick up and sign.....not going to waste 4-5 hrs there haggling...and if price agreed on changes when I walk in.... I walk right out,lol

than you have to battle the finance guy.....my finance guy was so pissed I didn't get warranty he wouldn't shake my hand after we were done so I know they make killing on those warranties.....its brand new truck for christs sake wtf...already has warranty

Make two or three dealerships fight each other for the sale. When I buy my personal trucks I give them a hand written spec sheet of must-haves (which is never on the lot, always a dealer trade) then once you have a price from dealer 1 and a VIN#, you low ball dealer 2. Tell them dealer 1 will sell for $9,000msrp off or what ever discount amount you are after, but say you feel 'dealer 2' may be able to beat that when you talk to them. If they can, they will give a better price, then you can take that price to dealer 3 or back to counter offer dealer 1. They may get annoyed with you but it works. You will find the dealer that can take the largest hit on their top end that way. I always end up buying local, but that way they put their best foot forward the first time and don't jerk you around over a few grand.

why AT4.....is it possible you can order another trim level with all options minus a lift?.....lift and tires are very easy to do, interior not so much......if so you will probably find better discounts on those models

First at4 HD doesn’t have a lift. As far as HD’s go, a similarly equipped at4 and slt are virtually the same price. The difference being exterior and interior styling. (Color matched bumper vs chrome, at4 specific interior colors, at4 has black accents slt is chrome) I assume the OP prefers the looks of the at4 vs slt. The Denali will be 1000 more mostly because of the leather used on the interior. With the price being the same why not get the styling you want. Only way I could see a slt being much cheaper (All options equal) is if gm was doing some sort of slt only incentive.

Dealer in Opelika AL (Glynn Smith) offering 9K off on Sierra denali.  Discounting chevy high country a little less..8K.

You have to call them and either order or snag one as soon as it hits the lot.  I've missed 2 different SLT at 8500 off.

I realize this is only around 11.5% off sticker but it's the best I've seen this side of the US.
