if its raining it will beep. if there is ice it will beep. you cant turn it off permanently so is everyone disconnecting the wire harness to the front? would it give me any error message if i do? dont know why they would even put it in the radio settings if it does the same thing as the button. who the hell is going to go through all the different screens to turn it off until you shut the truck off if you can just push a button.

Mine has only gone off twice in the rain when parked. Works pretty well. I wonder if there is some adjustments they can do to yours?

I have never really had a problem with mine. Maybe a couple of times in the rain and never have in ice or snow, and I am in that for 5-6 months a year.

Mine may occasionally get pissed at something but 99% of the time its fine. It can't detect the difference of ice or leaves on the sensor so its doing its job if it sets the alarm off.

mine goes off 100% of the time. if the truck is wet.  of course i bought this one used out of bumper to bumper.

I only have the rear but would love to have the front.  It would be worth having the system checked out at your local GM dealer.  My first thought was that someone installed aftermarket sensors  in a replacement bumper.  These sensors are supposed to assist not annoy the driver!

i dought they are aftermarket.  this is my 1st truck with them.  when I black the truck out ill be installing a bumper without the front sensors. I just hope when i disconnect the harness i dont get a error message.  Im not paying the dealer to fix a defective part.  this trucks MSRP was as much as i paid for my house with a new 2 1/2 car  insulated garage on 2 acres.

Just cause something is expensive doesn't mean it won't ever have problems. Rolex watches will lose time just like any other one.

You said that you tried this:

Parking Assist” under Vehicle Personalization. If the parking assist is turned off through vehicle personalization, the parking assist button will be disabled. To turn the parking assist on again, select On in vehicle personalization. The On with Towbar setting allows for the parking assist to work properly with an attached trailer hitch. Turn off parking assist when towing a trailer. To turn the rear parking assist symbols, guidance lines, or Rear Cross Traffic Alert on or off, see “Rear Camera” and “Collision/ Detection Systems” under Vehicle Personalization.
And it did not work?

Turning the Features On or Off
The X button to the left of the steering wheel is used to turn on or off the Front and Rear Parking Assist. The indicator light in the button comes on when the features are on and turns off when the features have been disabled. Front and Rear Parking Assist can be turned off, on, or on with towbar through vehicle personalization.

This is from the Tahoe manual, all I could find, if I remember right, the button they are talking about is in the center stack of switches on the trucks.

It's your truck to do with what you wish.  Parking sensors are a great option and eliminating them detracts from the value of the truck, imo. I appreciate that trucks and houses are expensive.  I have found that dealing with repairs and maintenance as issues occur saves a more significant loss when it is time to sell.

Do they not have a simple (pull the fuse option) yes it may show a message on dash but think it's a simple fix without pulling harness off.

Yes but when you turn the truck off and you start it again. It turns back on even when you turn it off in the radio settings.

Front parking assist adds nothing to the value of the vehicle.

I haven't looked it up but I bet the fuse has the rear on it. A friend of mine said on his car it had the radio on it.  I would pull the harness to the front only.

Something does not sound right, maybe try disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes or so, or possibly resetting the MyLink back to factory settings and see if of those work.

Maybe your truck needs a reboot.

    • Average Assembly 4.8%   That's the likelihood of a light duty vehicle reaching 250,000 miles. Link below has the stats on this. Among pickups the 350 series (Dodge)  and higher (450 Ford) are most likely and nothing American built in the lighter trucks pegs a number higher than the overall average.  200K and up is the stomping grounds of Asian vehicles. Toyota Sequoia the leader at 39.1% probability.      https://www.autoweek.com/news/a68886903/vehicles-most-likely-to-last-over-250000-miles/   Likelihood drops dramatically at 100,000 miles of reaching even 150,000 miles. 250,000 is deep in the tail of the curve.    I've been told by the 'experts' that I don't need oils of the caliber I use. My high viscosity is damaging my motors. Ash content it to high and WILL foul plugs and kill cats and O2's. I don't need that much ZDP; my choice is over added and not cutting edge. I change it to often. I baby them to much.    Three Honda's reached 200K + and none used oil. All Red Line motors. All sold to friends or family. One Toyota reached 300K using oil, Pennzoil. Dizzy 300K using QSUD until it cashed the rings at 80K then whatever but often ever since. Did you know this engine still sports the OEM timing chain and is dead silent? Pepper spitting into the wind short of 200K, Red Line and changed often. Uses zero oil. A HPFP and a pinion seal. Still using most parts it left Fort Wayne with. So 50% of my vehicles have gone past 250K and 100% of the last half dozen past 200K. Of these two using "shelf oils' did so using abnormal oil and the four that used a premium boutique oil did not. There might be something there the experts have missed. 🤔
    • i dont know where you been reading...they make a top notch product..people say lots of great things about them..yes it can be difficult to get a hold of them when you need help sometimes put when  you do it is great service...   as for the actual question at hand i have the ccv mod and i vented to atmos in my case...I got my ccv from somewhere else but i have plenty of VSE product...for starters i use their tuning on my 22 duramax
    • It's not that it sits for extended periods. I drive it every couple of weeks. However, I did consider draining the DEF and replacing it.    Don't you get a "Poor quality DEF warning" if its bad?
    • Try draining the def and relacing with new if it has been sitting for a long time. Def does go bad after a little while.
    • Thanks @Viktorrocks15 if you are still out there.   I followed your instructions and worked out great, went to the scrap yard and procured 2016 escalade cluster, hud, bezel, and switch. Got lucky and found a Camaro in the u-pull with the HUD bezel.   I made my own harness with these diagrams: https://www.gmupfitter.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/23_Escalade_Escalade_ESV_Electrical_Body_Builder_SM_en_US_2022OCT25.pdf   I used escalade cluster because its the best one that will work IMO. Still need to get it programmed but it looks really good.
