Truck barely moves at 3500rpm

Recommended Posts

Lost 3rd gear in my 09’ Silverado 5.3, picked up a used 4l60e with 78,000km. Swapped it out, working finefor 600km, then one evening on the way home, truck couldn’t decide what gear to be in. Started less then 2 min from my house, got home and parked. Went out the next day, put the truck in gear, barely crept into the garage at 3500rpm.

Plugged a gauge into the line pressure port, 100psi at start up in park, only going to 110psi at high idle in drive/reverse. So I have pressure. But not near enough.

Dropped the basepan for a look, oil looks/smells fine (when I lost 3rd there was a distinct layer of material in the base pan). Checked filter, was still seated correctly.

Had codes P0741 TCC solenoid circuit performance or stuck off & C0161 ABS brake circuit switch

Any thoughts? Am I looking at pump failure? At this point I’m stumped.
