From rub to no rub?

So I had a 2016 LT with 20” GMC honeycomb replicas that I put a 2.5” Motofab level on and had slight UCA rub at full lock in reverse..

just traded it in for a 2018 z71 (transfered the honeycombs over from my 2016) and put the same 2.5” level on. Somehow, I don’t have any rub whatsoever? I’m pretty sure all 16-18’ models had the same stamped UCA’s. Very peculiar?

Just wondering if anyone on here would have any idea why I’m not getting any rub with my 18’ since basically nothing is different..

I'm pretty sure gm put 2 or 3 different style control arms in the trucks. Aluminum, stamped and cast.

Durandetto is right with the three different types. 2016 was when they switched to stamped steel. Check your build date. Build dates of April 1, 2016 and after got stamped steel. What size tire do you have?

275/60r20. The same exact tires and wheels from my old truck..

My in-service date of my 16’ was in June, so it seems that both trucks do in face have the same UCA’s then.

You went from a Sierra to a Silverado? That might have something to do with it. Edit: NM I see you just had GMC replica wheels on a LT Silverado. It would have to be the suspension set up change then.

By suspension change, do you mean going from the basic OEM shocks in my 2016 LT to the Rancho's in my 2018 z71?
