Mod exhaust too loud

 I found the truck i wanted, had everything i wanted except exhaust was too loud. Figured i'd just buy it and mess with exhaust later, so here i am. I would like to get it to as close to stock sounding as possible without having to completely remove and replace everything. Any ideas on what i can do. Pics attached of system

Change the muffler. The exhaust is factory up until they cut the stock muffler off and put on what looks to a flowmaster series muffler.

 

If you wish to keep the dual exit exhaust you will need a single in dual out muffler to replace it with.

 

Go with something that is not chambered, so a longer magnaflow muffler or similar is what I'd suggest. No matter what, most of the aftermarket mufflers will louder than stock but have the good exhaust rumble while still be rather tame at cruising speeds.

You could find a stock takeoff if you want stock quiet.

 

You could swap out for a good catback like Corsa.

 

You could swap out mufflers as CamGTP said.  And longer body non chambered will help cut drone too.

Ya, id like to do as little changing as possible and want to keep dual exhaust. Just want it WAY quieter, as close to stock as possible. Some rumble is ok. Anybody know anything about the Walker quietflow ss?

I second the Magnaflow! The longest one you can find. I have the 6.2 with a Magnaflow and the flapper valve pinned open and inside the truck it's almost stock sounding while outside it sounds pretty good. Deep with a good tone.

Unfortunately not. But i actually wanna keep my dual exhaust, just make it nice and quiet.

Anyone have any info on how a Walker quiet flow ss would sound replacing whats currently on there?

No 411 on the Quiet Flow muffler you are inquiring about.  A much quieter option will be a Magnaflow 12588 muffler.  It is a large 5x11x22 single inlet/dual outlet that will be substantially quieter than what appears to be a Flowmaster Super 10.
