So, I having the same issue today(3/29/22). When going to doctor appointment!  Tried to get help from GMC service department, which was very little other than getting a appointment to get it checked & they would have to have it for 2-days & no loaner!

Mine is a 2020 GMC 1500 Denali

No updates to this thread in a while, nobody else having this issue any longer?    Has it been root-caused by GM to a specific known failure, or are the dealerships still playing "whack-a-mole" replacing random parts to see if it "goes away"?   I too am having this issue on my 2021 Trail Boss 6.2.

I had the same issue. Then it went to loss of power. Seems it only does this when pulling and using exhaust break. Iv added the banks monster Pedel and derringer. And I love the new addition! When I get these errors I can clear right from derringer gauge. And I’m rolling in seconds

Dealer found code c060b left rear parking brake actuator fault. After checking wiring, they determined issue was the actuator. Replaced. So far so good for the service parking brake.

Hi, did this fix the issue for you after the actuator was replaced? Did the "service parking brake" light ever come back on?

Holy crap.  That is unbelievable.  I opened this thread because I have the same warning as others.  Service Parking Brake, with the little wrench icon.  WTF is going on with these GM trucks.  I just had the driver side cooling fan replaced at 40k miles on the truck.  Out of warranty.  Now this light is on.  Disconnected the negative terminal on the battery, did nothing.  After a lifetime of GM trucks, this may be my last.  I can't keep worrying about some random stupid electronic failure, and all the time to bring it to the dealer and cost.  43,900 miles on the truck and at the dealer twice now.  Is there a final solution to this issue?  And please don't respond that you lost engine power etc, that is not happening with me.

I got the same issue, service ebrake light/message. Trying to see if there is a common problem before I get it scanned and fixed. 2020 Denali 2500 diesel.

Well, I brought my truck in for the service parking brake light.  They said I needed rear brake pads and rotors.  I was like WTF the truck has 44k miles on it and 34k of those miles are going to my place in upper VT, so not even touching the brakes.  He gave me some BS excuses, but had them do the work.  190 miles later, the service parking brake light is back on.  I am pissed to say the least.  They never addressed the original reason I brought the truck in, just a scam job to get brakes done.  I think GM is perpetrating a scam for more service work.

Have had my “Service parking brake” light and warning message on for a little bit now. Read about software update as a possible fix. Took it to a certified dealer and had them install the update and paid $150+ for this. Did not fix issue. Took it in today for diag at my local shop…pictures of invoice to show diag. Has anyone found the formal solution to this?? Getting really frustrated with this whole ordeal. This is my first truck purchase…I have always loved Chevy/GM…just not loving this situation right now. My personal scanner first detected a P25A2 code from the OBD2 connection. Still no resolution and money spent going in circles…GM Customer Service…can you please help me??!!
