Baja Design Grill Light

I just bought the Baja Design behind the grill light on my 2019 LTZ.  Two questions for those that have the set up. One is where in the cab on a loaded LTZ did you mount the switch that looks ok without looking like you just threw a switch somewhere?   Looks like a toggle will have to be used being all my aux switch places are used from the factory.   And second question is does the color of the baja design lights being 5000k in color match the color of the factory led headlights.  Thanks in advance.

So I actually wired the the lights into my high beams and never installed the switch.  As far as matching the color of the factory lights I couldn't tell you, as I tinted them for a stealth appearance.

Get a wireless switch module and use a HomeLink button.

mmmm  Never heard of that kind of thing.  Do you have more info on what to use and how to use the homelink button?  I searched and could not find anything.  Thanks for any info lapoolboy.

I'll dig through some info at home, but there are a few different brands/styles available.  You basically wire the lightbar into this device which is just an RF receiver/switch that you can program to one of your HomeLink buttons.  Nice and clean and keeps you from having to run wires into the cab.

Ordered the Baja Designs light bar and pillar lights this week.  Should have them installed next week after Christmas.  I just went with a custom lighted switch.  I'll post pics at the end of next week, when it all gets installed.

Thanks for looking. I think this is what I would want to do.  Have you programmed one to the homelink button before?  I did my garage door but wonder how it would be programmed to this kind of remote.  Thanks again

Yes.  It is an RF receiver just like your garage door opener.  HomeLink button programs to it the same way.

Sweet thanks for the help.  Just orderedone.  I got a 2 channel just in case I need another one in the future....

Well the install did not go so well today.  Followed the instructions and when I go put the grill back on it will not go. I took the light off to get the grill over the brackets and it will not go over the brackets.  The tabs on the grill hit the bracket so it wont go on. Their pics show the part of the grill that hits my bracket between the two bolts and it is over the inside bolt on mine.  I called tech support and sent them some pics. Wonder if its cause mine is a ltz or something?
