If we decide to get rid of the Honda due to the oil dilution issue we have been looking at options.
The Hyundai Tucson Ultimate is cheaper, has better, nicer features than a GMC Terrain. Also no turbo.
 

I’ve had 4 Hyundai’s starting with the 05 Elantra. My grandson drives it now. After my wife, his mother. Number two we still have 11 Genesis. My wife says the best she’s ever had. Keeping it forever she says. I had the Genesis coup and Santa Fe. My brother in law has a loaded 13 Tucson. They bought used. It’s quieter than my 15 CRV we got from the mother in law. She quit driving. I’d buy the Tucson over it. Especially with the warranty.

Our friends have a 19 Tucson. 2.4 L non turbo. Yes it's quieter in the cab than our CRV.

On the fence about dumping the Honda. Buying a Tucson Ultimate would cost over $10 K.

3 K mile sample of Castrol Edge. Wix oi filter. 5% oil dilution and high Titanium. 

 

Titanium is an additive in Castrol oil. There is no titanium used in the manufacture of the motor. FYI

Are you saying 5% 'fuel' dilution? That would be high even for a GDI motor but could also be something as simple as to short of a time a full operating temperature, a leaking injector, one weak ignition circuit....something common and simple.

I’ve read it’s a problem in cold climates more than warm. I’m going with 5K oil changes in the CRV. Something I would do in turbo and D1 engines anyway.

I know you’re being funny. I’ve been driving Hyundai since 05. The first one is still going. Longevity check. The second one 11 Genesis sedan the wife’s not only is still going. Surprised myself and my brother when his wife’s tuned hemi challenger saw its taillights. Fast and durable. I had the two door version. Faster yet. Then the Santa Fe premium. Same engine and transmission as above. The stinger or the G-70 are on deck in the future. Fast, reliable, priced right. Boring? Not so much. [emoji106]

Grumpy Bear, yes over 5% fuel dilution with 3000 K miles on the oil. Doing the math at 5%, that's 6 ounces of gas in 3.7 quarts of oil. 

Took the car to the dealer and Honda of America said there is nothing wrong. No CEL or stored codes so its OK. Also Colorado isn't considered a cold climate. This relates to the law suit for 2106 2018 1.5L turbos. 

Traded the Honda CR-V in on a 2019 Hyundai Santa Fe Ultimate. 1 Owner lease with 22595 miles. 2.4 L non turbo. Yes, I bought used again. Saved $15 K over new with price, taxes, title and insurance. Another reason for buying used is living on dirt roads now.

This is quite an upgrade. Nice ride, quieter, lots of features.
