I like that they have not gone to push button  shifting.  I know it is coming in all vehicles but I still like to use a shift stick.

The color is Modern Steel Metallic, one of the older colors Honda keeps around, and on a clear day with a lot of sunshine you will see a slight purplish tint. If you want to bring it out more certain wax and sealant products will help. The easiest to get is meguiars hybrid ceramic spray wax.

First oil change, 706 miles.

I couldn't let it go any longer because it was pretty dirty.

Being my first new car I was surprized how dirty the oil was at that low mileage.

I get new motor breaking in.

Castrol Edge Wix filter.

:)

You know they are. Same filters, fluids, and part numbers for many things...

If I was going to buy an Avalon, I would buy a ES 350 Lexus instead. There about the same price. Ones more upscale. No one would call it a Toyota though there’s nothing wrong with one, obviously.

Oil gets dirty fast.

Now at 437 miles on first oil and filter change.

Is this due to a new motor breaking in and the oil gets dirty faster?

:)

Assembly lube would be my guess. Relax, watch and learn. She's talking to ya. :)

Not worrying.

I will change oil more often.

My oil usually doesn't  start getting dirty until 1000 - 1500 miles.

:)

You just don't seem the worry wart type. New motor. A bit tight yet so some extra heat. Given where you live mostly slow speed work. More moisture. All the of that can be hard on the oil. It's a pretty ride. I like it.

Missed this Grumpy.

Thanks.

Wife likes it a lot.

Her car.

Clock is at 2200+ miles.

Over 700 miles on this oil.

Not as dirty as before.

That should continue to lengthen as the miles add up. Pepper starts showing a need around 5K now. The Terrain quite a bit sooner. Honda goes forever and a day. Around 6K it starts getting some color. Glad she likes it. It's important.
