one review by a mechanic (paid sponsor) who loves how they don't use hp gains, just real numbers on air flow.

These are back ordered everywhere. I’m hoping the intake tube on the new shipments are nice and smooth like in the photo above. All the installed photos I’ve seen so far have an uneven line stamped into the tube running lengthwise. Makes it look cheap. The Roto-Fab intake tube looks the best.

Just started a thread in the general area about this. I just bought mine 30 minutes ago because I had a coupon. They were back ordered 2-3 weeks now it’s 30-40 days. Will probably be longer.

I spoke to S&B support and they said they had to change the production process for COVID reasons.

I guess order it now if you want it some time this year. Lol.

I had to wait 2 months for mine. It’s massive and sounds great. Wish it looked more factory like the GM CAI though but I still like it a lot.

The only thing I didnt like about the S&B was that extra opening in the top air box that gives it a louder sound, but also sucks in hot air from the engine bay.

they say its "suppose" to suck air from the fender but hard to tell with out testing and checking temperature readings.

my IAT's on the OEM fender CAI are logged from HPtuners and average 81-86 F fully warmed up summer weather

How close to ambient is that?   I did a little testing of the IAT's.
