rhamill1 Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 Any body install the new S&B Intake for the 1500? Looks pretty good! https://www.sbfilters.com/cold-air-intakes/silverado-sierra-1500-intake-75-5128?variant_id=431
anthony2558 Posted January 21, 2020 Posted January 21, 2020 one review by a mechanic (paid sponsor) who loves how they don't use hp gains, just real numbers on air flow. 1
EricTheRed Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 These are back ordered everywhere. I’m hoping the intake tube on the new shipments are nice and smooth like in the photo above. All the installed photos I’ve seen so far have an uneven line stamped into the tube running lengthwise. Makes it look cheap. The Roto-Fab intake tube looks the best.
childstoys Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 Just started a thread in the general area about this. I just bought mine 30 minutes ago because I had a coupon. They were back ordered 2-3 weeks now it’s 30-40 days. Will probably be longer. I spoke to S&B support and they said they had to change the production process for COVID reasons. I guess order it now if you want it some time this year. Lol.
TNTSierra Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 (edited) I had to wait 2 months for mine. It’s massive and sounds great. Wish it looked more factory like the GM CAI though but I still like it a lot. Edited September 30, 2020 by TNTSilverado
Firehawk99 Posted September 30, 2020 Posted September 30, 2020 The only thing I didnt like about the S&B was that extra opening in the top air box that gives it a louder sound, but also sucks in hot air from the engine bay.

flyingfool Posted December 29, 2020 Posted December 29, 2020 (edited) my IAT's on the OEM fender CAI are logged from HPtuners and average 81-86 F fully warmed up summer weather Edited December 29, 2020 by flyingfool

I did a little testing of the IAT's. How well the stock intake works - 2019/2020 Engine, Driveline, & Exhaust - GM-Trucks.com (gm-trucks.com) Edited December 29, 2020 by SILVER SLED
