2003 Chevy Silverado belt squeaking

Looking for some help identifying the squeaking going on while the truck is running. I’ve changed out the belt, idler pulley, and tensioner pulley as well. Still squeaking. Squeaks the whole time I’m driving and gets louder when hitting the gas. Makes me want to pull my hair out. Have had someone mention the water pump to me but not real sure, any help appreciated.

Don't forget to inspect the harmonic balancer also.

Does it squeak if you take off the a/c belt (if you have a/c)?  does it squeak if you take off the main belt?

Is the harmonic balancer the big pulley in the center/bottom

Have not got around to pulling a/c belt off yet. Would it make it sound different when the air is turned on?

I always check belt related squeaks with a spray bottle filled with water. Adjust the bottle to a pinpoint spray and shoot it directly on the belt before the belt hits each pulley. If the noise goes away then you are having an alignment problem with your belt on that pulley. If the noise gets louder then your tensioner has failed and is allowing the belt to slack too much and is slipping on the pulley. More than likely it's your tensioner so long as you never touched any of the pulleys or removed and reinstalled any of the belt driven components.

Remove the belt, spin each component by hand to check for grit and noise if a bearing is defective.

Could be any of the bearings on the components driven by the belt...alternator, water pump, AC compressor, etc

kickass audio, I had the tensioner And the belt replaced 2 weeks ago and I replaced the idler pulley yesterday. I replaced idler pulley because I did the spray bottle trick, sprayed directly onto the idler and the noise stopped for just a second

May try the ole long handled screw driver truck next too try and pin point which pulley is making the noise? Can’t afford to keep replacing each individual component

Remove your a/c belt and ac belt tensioner. Buy a 2010+ a/c stretch belt from GM and install it. We do this a lot at the dealer. You will never have this issue again.

Check the a/c tensioner that is probably your squeak.
