Recommended oil for 5.3 with over 150k miles

Can you guys recommend the best synthetic oil for my 2015 Silverado with  5.3? Just turned 150k Also what other preventative maintenance should i be considering right now?

Does it use oil? Did you buy it new? What got you this far? OCI's? Need more information.

We all (well most) are always looking for the low hanging fruit, easier to just to ask a random question...

 

Details are for the ones who respect and keep their trucks in the shape they deserve to be in, as they are an investment.

 

Amazing in this day and age, people still take the path of least resistance, asking others rather than solving, or knowing the problem themselves.

If only the manufacturers would start including some kind of literature with the purchase of a vehicle...something that described the various functions of the different vehicle systems, how much and what fluids are recommended, when to perform routine maintenance, etc.  Something like an owner's manual

Boy did you open a can of worms.  For every response you're going to get 2 or 3 oils!  LOL

 

5 years and 150K, time to flush the radiator.  Change ALL of the other fluids every 50K miles.

 

I use the ACDelco oil which has higher viscosity numbers than Mobil One and is very similar to Shell's new Rotella Gas Truck.

If its always been your truck or if you know what oil has always been used just stick to that. The high mileage stuff in my opinion is a scam and actually doesn't do anything better then none high mileage oil. ACDelco oil is probably your best bet.
