I went the easy way and it keeps it hidden. Didn’t want to take apart my console to hide the wire. Just slipped it under the rubber mat and plugged it in. Haven’t had a problem with it connecting to it although I usually have my phone plugged in for car play.

Fyreman97 which wireless charger did you use for the under mat install? Did you have to modify/open the wireless charger?

I know people search a lot for solution's so came up with another idea that uses the USB port as well. I will also link amazon for the charger. I don't know how fast it charges since I'm not in my truck that long, but it works well with my note 10+ with otter case on it, so should work with most.

I have no relation to the seller of this and do not get any profits from it, so feel free to search elsewhere for better price. It does use the USB and doesn't require cig light plug adapter.

I used Gorilla tape to tape it down and to the front so it doesn't tip. I also added a small piece of Velcro to back of phone and top of charger just so phone doesn't tip on corners until I can epoxy a magnet to the top of it somewhere.  Not quite as concealed but puts phone at a nice angle for some visibility of notifications. I placed phone on it and figured out best config then placed the whole thing onto the console so the left side of my phone rides against side of console.

I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT and they included the wireless charger on the center console but made it too narrow for most modern phones 🤦‍♂️ I have an iPhone 13 and only the mini iPhones/Androids fit. Pretty annoying lol. Any ideas??APP-2-Feature-1-768x491.thumb.png.213ef66b4f3d4360d5270d96a5ec909a.png

Did you ever order this and install it? I am curious how well it works.

I just did this, it's a 30 min easy job. Need to continue moving the power to a more permanent place but this is super simple.

I did a very similar install, I used a five coil, installed separate 12v socket with USB to help keep visible wires out of sight under front dash right above the transmission tunnel. 12v socket powers to ignition on only. This also keeps all the USB ports free. Clean look, flush like OEM and it fast charge. 12v.thumb.jpg.22b36561727d22e59e67e558efe0f6ac.jpg

@redlt how many watts out of that 5 coil ? Links, this one can go up to 20w if you trust Chinese sellers.... I need to hide the cable, but didn't feel like opening the middle console, I'm alone 90% of the time in the truck so won't initially bother me, but my plan was to splice and solder in.

It is 20w, I preferred the 5 coil as you can see it stretches almost the whole length of the tray, don't have to move the phone around to hit the spot. Depending how you're hard wiring it, if it is still coming from the USB port it will charge really slow from other threads that I've read. OEM ports seems to output very low. I did the factory wireless phone charger, including the HVAC line to keep the charging area cool.  Adding the HVAC line was PITA.

AMEN to that!  I almost threw in the towel getting that into place behind the glove box!  Definitely budget time for fighting this little tube of plastic for about an hour!

At least 1 hour.  I have the Bose system in my truck, so no help at all getting it in at any point.  I ended up removing the blend door actuator the tube wraps around.  Actuator went back in easily, but what a PITA the whole process was.
