Build Time

So I ordered my 2020 2500 LT Gasser on 1/13/20.  As of today, there is still no Targeted Build Week.  I called the Dealer and spoke with the Salesman I have been dealing with.  Apparently they are not building any gas trucks right now.  Anyone have any idea why this might be?  I was told about two months from order to delivery.  Definitely doesn't look like that's gonna happen now.

Read through the post titled "Happy Birthday to me, ordered a 3500" and you will find enlightenment.

Do you have the order number from your dealer?

I do

So you can bypass the dealer and get your event code from GM.  Should just need the order number and dealer name and maybe your name (the customer named on the order).

It may not have a tpw but at least you will know if it is moving along in the process, and not an order that is not accepted for whatever reason.

I really don't get why sales-types feel the need to bullshit when they don't know or don't want to say.

^^ this.

Except I’ve always only needed my order number when requesting an update from the chat feature. They usually ask what the vehicle is, and sometimes they ask for my phone, email, and address. I usually just provide my phone and email.

Ditto, same boat.  Ordered on Jan 6th   2020 GMC Sierra 2500 CCSB  6.6 gas quicksilver metallic

event code has not moved from 1100.   I've been checking weekly on the GMC chat link     Spoke to my dealer yesterday.  It appears I might be in business shortly.  He was optimistic about getting an allocation this coming Tuesday.  We'll see.   Good thing I'm not in a hurry to get a new truck.  Ideally early Spring would be nice, but I am getting a little anxious.

I wonder what happens after March 5 for those who are still at code 1100.   March 5 is the due date for final orders for 2020 HD's.  First date to order 2021 HD is May 21 but production start date for those won't be until Aug 30.

Just curious where did you get this information from.

Just checked my local dealer website, has 5 2500 HD's, only one is a gasser.
