Drove a Ford F150 for a few hours

Drove a 2014 Ford f150 for a few hours yesterday and wow how I could not wait to get back in my Sierra. First of all the 5.0 liter felt under power to my 5.3 and to put on seatbelt was even a pain. Did not like the raido and heater controls. My Sierra just seems so much more driver friendly. The one thing I can say is that it did ride nicer. Oh yeah, and the breaks on it were not nearly as good as mine. All I can say is what a big difference.

Yea let's get this going.

Why were you driving a six year old Ford and giving us a report? We all already know they suck. ?

Lol...true. was driving my father in laws. I thought it would be a good comparison to my 15. But it wasn't.

Warning: Dissing your father-in-law's truck can lead to poor health.

Lol....funny thing is when he rides with me he always says how much nicer my Sierra is.

I am sorry but a 5.0L will take a 5.3L to school and back again in terms of power. Unless it was a 5.0L from like 2012. My bro has a 18 5.0L and its not far behind my 6.2L. Would undoubtedly walk my 5.3L 6spd with ease. They are nice trucks, lots of little issues though but no different then any GM's made after 2014.

All I know is from what I drove it around town and an hour or so on highway it felt way more sluggish. Just saying how it felt to my truck. Felt like I had to floor it to get it going especially getting on highway and from around 65mph to pass someone. I drove mine the same way next day to to work and it felt much better. But it was an older one (2014) so maybe the new ones run alot stronger.

My buddy has a 19 F150 5.0 3:73 gears 10 speed reg cab 4x4 and that thing will beat my 18 GMC Sierra dbl cab 4x4 6.2 8 speed 3:23 gears. That thing is a beast with that tranny and gears.

^ Yeah those 5oh's are not playing around anymore. 10spd Coyote Mustangs are out there killing everything GM makes, fully built engine, LSX aftermarket block or not all with stock bottom motors, stock heads with a turbo.

Watch some mid west street racing on YouTube, I like to watch the guys from Texas race. There is only one car there that can routinely hang with those turbo stangs, Midnight Performance's C6 ZR1. All the C7's get smashed by Mustangs. Now the GT500 is making 900whp with FBO. GM doesn't have an answer to that yet unless you have a ZR1, maybe with the Z06 and the flatplane DOHC engine when it comes out.

I am the biggest Vette/LS fanboy ever, but there is no denying the Mustangs have way more potential right now with that 10 speed. You used to be lucky to build a Mustang to be as fast as a Camaro, now your lucky to have a Corvette with a built motor hang with a FBO Turbo 5L.

I have a 2011 mustang with a 5.0.

the car is a complete pile of shit, but in regards to the engine, my lord what a motor. I’d take it any day over a gm small block in a sports car. (Except a truck, then I’ll take a small block)
