Longer Rear Shocks

Recommended Posts

I installed 2” lift blocks in the rear of my ‘19 RST and would like to add longer shocks to go with them. I saw rough country makes a rear shock for 0-3” lifts, but I want to make sure I get something good for my everyday driving.

Go with some extensions until more options are available. I have Rancho 9000 adjustable and love them. I usually leave them set on 2 and adjust them accordingly  for towing or Home Depot runs. The truck feels much more stable and the ride in back is better than the semi stiff Eibachs I have in front.

Thanks! I was looking at the extensions but would really like to just find a longer shock that is correct in length and be done.

for the fronts

or

for the rears you can find eibach and fox 2.0 rears that can be length adjusted to fit/match what you want

BTW, these are all on the conservative side price wise. If you’re looking to spend some money, check out fox 2.5’s or king 2.5’s

what he said ^^^^^

also i believe the bilsteins from last generation fit new silverados…...similar to an eibach

but think eibach is closed as well as probably others....

I put on a 1.5" lift on my NHT model and added these spacers to the rear to get by until I found a better option.

Search on Amazon for

Anyway, they work fine.  Not sure if I will change until the Billstein 5100s come out.

Thanks everyone. I think I will add extensions for now and wait until more options come to market.

I would call Eibach for grins. I put them on all 4 corners and love them.

Wanted to update everyone. I threw on a set of extenders from motofab for now, as the factory shocks have less than 5k miles on them. I can definitely tell a difference in the rear end after adding them. Thanks for all of the suggestions.

Yeah, helps with braking for sure,  with the 2.5 rear lift the shocks we're over extended.  You get that nasty BANG over every bump, but man when you had to lay on the brakes, there was no room for the rear end to lift so you will skip and jump while braking.     The extensions fixed that problem!
