I have a 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3 crew cab. I hear a clicking sound from the rear when brake pedal is pressed. It’ll make the sound when I’m pressing it to slow down and even when I’m not moving and press the pedal a bit further. Took it to a dealer and said a part( can’t remember the name) needed lubed and said it was common. It’s still making the same noise. FYI I do not have drum brakes and rotors look and few great and plenty of pads left. Anybody ran into this issue?

I would have to be under the truck while someone pushed the brake pedal down so I could listen to it.

You should do the same so you can pinpoint exactly where the sound is coming from. I've seen brake pads make the noise on the brackets and the caliper slide pins make this noise. 98% of the time you only hear it while stopped and not when you are moving down the road.

Did it do the same noise while not moving also? Like at a drive through and you press the pedal a bit more? Almost sounds like an old bed squeak but not high pitched

i have a 2014 gmc sierra 1500 6.2. when breaking at low speeds i get a clicking from both front sides of my truck. it started about 3 weeks ago. i changed my brakes last week and it is still doing it and now it happens very slightly when turning at low speeds but mostly while breaking. its a rotating clicking noise that sounds like it is right at calipers but kinda hard tell. if i stop suddenly it doesnt do it.
